It's really mostly diet. Any sort of physical activity will help but you'll drop 3% body fat easily just dropping booze/junk out of your every day diet.
Doing any running, cycling, Swimming(this is the best anarobic exercise IMO), etc about three or more times, for about 30-45minutes a day, will help strip a bit more bodyfat off, lower your cholesterol, and help strengthen your heart.
If you want to gain muscular bulk then... it's a whole 'nother kettle of fish and you'd be in for the long haul because it takes a whole lot of work over a large period of time(encapsulating dietary, lifting, planning, etc.)
