Thanks tar.

Re: New York
Have you got flights yet?
Keep your eye on hotdeals, the bird next to me in owrk has being trying get cheap flights for months, but there seems less deals about that previous years.
Keep an eye out for a BA sale.
Cheap Flights to New York City, USA - Compare New York City flight deals is good for deals to the US.
Also try STA Travel, I got a cracking deal a few years ago despite booking late.

Re: New York
Quality, cheers RJ, Nah haven't booked anything yet mate just having a good scout around, no point flouncing into a travel agents like a knob and just giving them carte blanche to squeeze my balls, figured it'd be better to do some homework first.

Have alook on this site mate
Cheap Travel & Transport: Get cheap flights, holidays, train tickets and more
I think they have a flight comparison checker thingymajig on it. It's also good for finding cheap Ryanair/Easyjet flights too.
Good luck mate

Re: New York
Cheap Flights - Budget Flights & Cheap Airfare Deals
Use that as a guide to which airline is doing the best ticket price. Once you know which is the cheapest airline for your dates go to their own website and book it on there and it'll be cheaper. Book your hotel seperately, don't do it as a package. Don't book any kind of transfers either, just get a taxi from the airport or get your hotel to have someone pick you up. It'll be much cheaper between the lot of you that way.
Get a "room only" stay at the hotel too as there'll be too many places to eat that you'll want to try rather than a boring hotel breakfast everyday.

Re: New York
Mrs Waffle got me a trip to New York in September for my birthday. She ended up booking the flights via Expedia (I think they were £340 each). Still have no idea where we're going to stay though. Can't wait.

Re: New York
Flying there's quite cheap off-peak, but staying there's another matter entirely. Alpharooms.com used to have some good deals on hotels/ apartments, so it may be worth checking them out. Good luck and enjoy!

Re: New York
New York rules. I'd recommend checking out the Gershwin hotel:
Gershwin Hotel - New York
I've stayed there twice, once when I was backpacking in the hostel type rooms, once with the missus in the hotel bit. Seems to have gone up a bit, but still fairly reasonable. It's just off 5th avenue, a couple of blocks from the Empire State building, handy for heading down to the Village and Soho, but also up to central park and that. It is pretty ace, loads of pop art on the walls, and beautiful freaks wandering around.

Re: New York
I love New York, but its bringing me down. They were also fresh out of shout, which was annoying.

Cheers kids, some good shouts here.
No doubt fuel prices are being used as an excuse to twist our nipples.

Re: New York
Delta airlines were by far the cheapest when I went in March. It's a fucking brilliant place. You'll love it. There's a bar/restaurant in Times Square called Hawaiian Tropic and you should go there because the waitresses are fit and in bikinis. It's like a more up market Hooters.
Hawaiian Tropic Zone
Give my regards to Sam Adams when you're there!
