Re: Dispatches on C4 now
Islamic fundamentalists would kick shit out of their christian counterparts.
The Christians are like France.

Yeah, thay showed all that shite at the start of the programme.
Don't you just love religious fundamentalists of all brands. They all belong in the same field, which needs a big wall building round it with no doors on it. The Isle of Wight would do.

My mistake, I wasn't talking on a personal level. More on a political and historical level.

Re: Dispatches on C4 now
I watched the programme and it certainly left much open to ridicule. Having said that, I thought the lady barrister's campaign to get the abortion limit lowered from 24 weeks to 20 weeks was worthwhile. (Whatever side you come out on on this debate is not what I'm concentrating on; more the manner in which she conducted herself). I thought the narrater/cameraman was very underhand at the end. She was campaigning for an amendment in abortion law, and the cameraman was trying to put words into her mouth in front of the MP about what he thought she had said about Islam (when in fact he was confusing her with that Steven Green bloke).
Anyway, an interesting programme, though obviously a bit toe-curling too. Usually these sorts of things are from America, so the fact that we had a home grown documentary made it a bit more interesting than the norm.

Re: Dispatches on C4 now
Was he underhand?
They both condemned Islam and were both questioned on it. Twice she got flustered (once in the car once at the end) and decided to stop digging by turning off the mic.

I know what you mean GR but he asked her straight out about 10 minutes before that, in another interview: 'is Islam the work of Satan?' and she replied 'Yes, and believe it's a false religion.'
I'm sure these people have some parts of them that are good and well meaning but in the main they're seriously messed up people.

Re: Dispatches on C4 now
Yeah, I remember her saying Islam was a false religion now. I just thought the cameraman was a bit underhand at the end, and there was a difference in how she came across in relation to some others on the programme.

Re: Dispatches on C4 now
He was a bit hard but I guess that's to be expected from an investigative journalist. I thought for an educated and eloquent lady she crumbled quite easily on that issue and the issue of the world being 6000 years old (pfft).
