Looks like he's fighting Mayweather again. Cotto must be pissed.

I think Cotto can wait, it could be Oscar's last fight and he deserves a chance to go out with a bang. Can't see the result being any different to last time though, pretty much why no one has ever really been arsed about a rematch. Gotta love a bit of drama though, Mayweather senior routing for his son to take a beating, Oscar's in great shape but he will lose again.

Surely it should be De Le Hoya V Hatton and Mayweather V Cotto. Both fights bring their own merit.

If boxing was as simple as that yes, but you know it never will be, I personally think Oscar should have fought Cotto and the winner to Mayweather, at least that way as you say Oscar would have merited the fight.

Not a bad fight really. Forbes did a lot better than I expected and with a bit more power he could of had De La Hoya in more trouble.

Complete mismatch, Hatton shouldn't ever move out of light welter again, he can't cope with the extra weight, he's only ever had two fights there and struggled both times. Wasn't the first DLH-Mayweather fight at some sort of catch-weight above welter anyway?

So you are telling me you wouldn't want to see that fight? Complete mismatch is a bit OTT, Hatton has a great record and would be fighting an aging De La Hoya.

It was ok. Nothing to shout about really. If this was a football match it would have been classed as a friendly. Was just a tone up for Oscar as he hasn't fought since last May. Can't see him doing anything to Floyd though.
Personally I think Cotto deserves a chance against Mayweather. The talk is though that Oscar is having one last fight in December and he wants it against Cotto. That would lift Cotto into the big time and hopefully give him the shot against Mayweather.
The reason the Cotto / Mayweather fight hasn't happened yet is due to Cotto's PPV sales in the US being poor. It's all about the wonga.
