Am I missing something or is it shit?

Some bloke was showing me video of his 'class' having some kind of total fighting tournament the other day and to me it just looked like a couple of bald bastards knocking shit out of each other to the tune of "Fucking have him Johno!!!"

No finesse or style like some martial arts and boxing from what I could tell, basically a pit-bull fight with people.

Seriously though, a few of my mates are involved in it, on the fighting side. I've been to see them a couple of times and can't for the life of me work out the appeal. Queers.

My old fella is hard, he's done bird for beating the shit out of coppers and crowning three lads with a pool cue back in his youth, he's reformed now but you'd never know he was hard, he looks like a bearded scruff and has never shaved his head in his life.

He's got no tatts and on the rare occasion you ever caught him in the pub he'd be the one in the corner sipping a small glass of mild.

Mixed Martial Arts is for proper hard bastards who know how to fight in any method.

Boxing is one style and the knowledge is limited to that one style.

Mixed Martial Arts are much more tactical in their approach because they need to understand how to fight against multiple styles and when preparing for a fight to help hide their weaknesses and work the fight to their strengths... with more things to consider.
