Stupid music making question

So I want to make a bog standard old fashioned CD that will play on a stone age CD player. I've got a load of tunes in mp3, how do I get 'em on to a CD to play just normally? If I just copy them over that won't work, so what format do I need to get them in, and how do I do this?

If you've got Nero Burning ROM select create Audio CD. Add the mps3 to the compilation and it does it all for you.

So, will that play on an ordinary cd player then? Or will they not be in some jiggery iTunes format that requires and iPod or other mp3 player to play the tunes?
