Further uses of Turkey.
I had the last of the Turkey tonight at my mum's.
She made a big pot of Turkey Curry.
I thought it was all gone until she passed me two large foil-covered packets of...
Turkey...

Re: Further uses of Turkey.
Quite boring food actually. Unless you have spices or sauces to go with it turkey is worthless. I rather prefer chicken to be honest.

Re: Further uses of Turkey.
If you have a large hole in a partition wall after a drunken Christmas brawl about "what our Wayne said about our Shaz", a bit of turkey mixed with polyfilla will bulk it out nicely.
Polyfilla also improves the taste of turkey immeasurably.

Re: Further uses of Turkey.
I made a pact with the Mother yesterday that we're never going to have turkey at Christmas again. Nor am I going to buy or eat mince pies, Christmas Pudding or Christmas Cake.
Shite food in the name of tradition. The only good way to eat turkey is with pickled onions, in loads of pickled onion vinegar (the turkey, not the onions. The vinegar comes as standard).
For the record, my sister is called Shaz. Don't judge me for it, I didn't name her.

Lamb/Beef and Stollen?
Make room for one more next Xmas day, I'll bring a selection of cracker jokes.

I'm not a lover of either, actually. I was thinking pheasant or kudu. And get my Ted out of your avatar. Most non-triumphant.

I guess this isn't a vegetarian's thread.

Vegetarian would probably taste better than turkey, although I wouldn't like to be the one shoving my hand up PB's arse to get out the giblets.

I dare not do lamb. We were all round at Mum's a few Sundays ago and she did lamb. I commented on how nice it was, and Rargh said "It's not as nice as yours Liz. Liz makes the best lamb ever". And my Mum looked like she'd been twatted with something blunt and heavy, and gave me a look which made it clear that right at that precise moment she'd have welcomed my death. She's very precious about her cooking is our Mum. Top cook though.

Not a fan of lamb. I always seem to end up with a fatty piece or one that is more "stringy" than a Tampon factory.

So many people say the same. You just need a good quality leg, and cut the fatty bits off. It's dead easy. There's no better meat than good lamb.

Hell, no. I went out a couple of weeks ago and got a lamb kebab on my way home. I was sober by the time I'd finished chewing the fucker.

Re: Further uses of Turkey.
We had bubble and squeak last night and I also made Christmas dinner soup (which is now in the freezer for eating some time next week).
