Top Tip requests

Another variation on the Top Tips theme - requests for Top Tips. We can all request tips on something, then we can all advise each other. How clever we'll all soon be. Oh - they have to work too, not just be guesswork.

My first request is - how to stay awake of an afternoon as the drowsiness kicks in. Qwertyitis is a bitch. Any tips?

And any requests?

So you eat bread at lunchtime? If so, don't; you will feel far better.

Re: Top Tip requests

Try sellotaping a row of galvanized tacks along your keyboard/desk/mechanical digger steering wheel.

When you drop off and your head hits said nails you will wake up quickly. (Make sure that the pins are high enough to avoid your eyes, mind you).

Re: Top Tip requests

I rarely eat bread now. And I seem to be immune to caffeine. I'm too lazy to exercise. So tacks it is.

By a tiger and don't feed it. Then when you are feeling drowsy, enter the cage. I am 100% sure you won't nod off in there.

Re: Top Tip requests

Give in to your tiredness. Your body rhythm is saying 'have a nap'. Do it, then you will be much more productive for the rest of your working day.

Re: Top Tip requests

I need some advice on music downloading, as it is something I intend to get into. I have signed up for iTunes and the first thing I want to do is download all the old tunes I used to have on vinyl, such as In the Navy, and YMCA.

But recently, people have been putting links to youtube with stuff like this on it.

Why should I download from iTunes at 79p a pop, when I can search youtube for nowt? I don't geddit.

Have you seen how much tigers cost? And even if you don't feed them, you've still got to buy them chew toys, heavy duty ones. No thanks.

I think siestas are a good idea and should be introduced over here now. Global warming necessitates them.

The sound quality on YouTube is crap compared to the cd-like quality you'd get from downloading the song on iTunes.

Wait a minute - you said Village People. In that case I don't know, it's crap however you listen to it.

That would appear to be the titbit of info that makes sense.

I'm not sure about this free downloading stuff. Isn't that stealing?

Its not a crime if you steal from a faceless corporation, except for when its Tom Ross's stuff.
