Right, I shall first of all enjoy a Black Sheep then. If it is shit I shall have to hunt you down, or some such nonsense. Cheers, Stouff.

My darling Lez; mere words cannot express my unwavering love for you, and as such I shall not bother trying.

I prefer drinking really rank scrumpy and/or rancid dogpiss to Carling; verily it is the stuff of demons. Fair play if you like it, mind you - I just feel sorry for the swans.
Furthermore, can someone in power at one of the breweries launch an alcoholic beverage named "Rebooting"; the viral marketing campaign " Have you tried Rebooting?" is already well established, and it would make me titter somewhat.

That's fair. To be honest, who cares what she thinks about football and who cares that she has a humongous forehead.

Re: Beautiful Bitters
Oi Comrade, Madstock as you're a WestCountry Bumpkin, I presume you take a liking to all good cider.
What is your favourite commonly found cider, not the boutique type?
Mine a toss up between Thatchers or Westons.
Bet your a Natch man.
I used to love a pint of Thatchers to get the Friday night started off, when I lived down Exeter way.

Piss taking git...
For a short time I lived off the A38 between Weston and Bristol, quite close to the Thatchers bottlery, and as such Thatchers was always my drink of choice.
I remember walking a couple of miles from my nan's caravan at Uphill along to the sadly departed "Saunders Supermarket" every weekend when I was 14/15 with a load of mates and getting absolutely shitfaced on the stuff; furthermore as I have mentioned elsewhere, Brean Fair was also a favourite haunt, and Thatchers was all that you could get. I was also a massive fan of Scrumpy Jack when it was first launched, as my then-girlfriend's foster father worked for them and as such it worked out at 10p a bottle. Happy days.
Incidentally, "Natch", for anyone that doesn't know, is the stuff that 11 year olds drink near parks, and is basically engine-oil mixed with apple juice - vagrants that drink Special Brew or Tennents Super turn their nose up at Natch.
I feel a return to ciderdom coming on soon, too. (Although not on the same night as bitterdom )

Carling is the foulest thing masquerading as beer, known to man. Yuck.
The kid's only little though so he'll learn about proper beer as he grows.
Speckled Hen is quite good widely sold ale in my opinion.

If carling is, your engine must be from a 50cc lawnmower.
I suppose tastes change with age. Try Becks or some decent lager - gets you pissed quicker and actually tastes good.

I used to work in Tiverton for a while, so had access to Sheppy's, located between Taunton and Tiverton on the A38. Do some ace cider's too. Suitable for school visits according to the website.
http://www.sheppyscider.com/
But you cant whack a good Thatchers. But due to years of park drinking I can't manage anymore that a couple of pints of any cider.
Anyway for park drinking I would have had you down as a Buckfast man. Its all about the effect when drinking in a park.

Agree on all counts. Speckled Hen is a nice pint, as is Marstons Pedigree.

Adnams? Mmm more than one and I'm squiffy, I stick to the 4% Adnams bitter.
Badgers does a good range but includes some fruity ones which are utterly wrong.

Re: Beautiful Bitters
Bitter is a bit dull for my liking.
My favourite current tipples are Weihanstephan, Etalon and Grembergen which are all blonde/weiss beers.

Bitter Update:
With my evening meal (which I have started calling 'tea', you bastards), I had a Black Sheep Ale.
This is described as "Crisp, Dry and Bittersweet" (not unlike myself), and gets...
I've been Madstock, this has been the Bitter Update, thanks for listening.

Re: Beautiful Bitters
Nice work 'Stock, Black Sheep Ale is a nice accompaniment to a meal, especially tea. It has a crisp, sharp taste to it, so not unlike a wine substitute with a meal.
