I wouldn't know, all I know is that the stuff we get over here tastes like the sweat off Chris' taint.

Guinness in the pub and bottles of Heineken as a carryout! Jameson or Jack Daniels as a short.

Re: Pint of Choice
I rarely drink anything by the pint (the Spanish/continental glass is much more civilised). However, I do enjoy a chilly Guiness. Weird and obscure bitters can occasionally turn my head, too.

Erdinger is ace. It usually costs about seven grand a pint though.

Re: Pint of Choice
Growing up it was always Bass. Or Baaaaaaaaaass as you have to call it in shropshire when ordering it in a country pub. Later it became Tetleys.
Now I am am over here, there are very few that I really like, what with it being mainly lager. The bitter you get here is generally gipping keg piss. I'd rather drink decent lager than shit bitter. I drank a beer the other week at a canalside pub that was named after Thomas Telford. It was swedish beer with a hint of scotch. It was hideous.
Tonight I am drinking beer with my mate from Newfoundland. Not sure what I'll buy, he'll drink anything though so it hardly matters.

Re: Pint of Choice
I started out on Guinness, moved on to the ale, then gradually to tasty lagers, so now I'll have whatever I fancy depending on the temperature/mood/time of day. Obviously down here it's mostly hot and mostly lagers so I have been enjoying Coopers Pale Ale (it's cloudy cos they ferment it in the bottles/keg) James Squire Amber Ale and Golden Ale and Western Australia's own Little Creatures.
I also live about 5 minutes stroll away from the Mountain Goat Brewery which opens as a bar on friday nights so you can sup straight from the keg. Their Hightail Ale is ace. Hey, tis 6pm now maybe I shall wander by...

When I was a barman there was a ginger flavoured beer available. I can't remember who did it, but i thought it was ace.

Re: Pint of Choice
Mostly I drink Becks Vier these days. Its a really consistent good pint of lager. Also I drink the odd pint of stout in the cold months, mostly Guinness, but the odd Murphy's in certain pubs.
But If I don't fancy the gas in lager then I may go a pint of Sussex best Harvey's and in July the treat that is Harvey's Tom Paine.
