My comment was not aimed at Hermes but in general at the hypocrisy. I don't doubt foreign policy acts to protect individual countries and their "interests" but blatent lies, make me sick.

There were millions in the streets protesting at the war - all around the world. The politicians didn't listen so they deserve whatever comes their way now.

Get off your fuckin perch, I'm sick to death of you ranting, blaming people and generally calling them all cunts. You never have a constructive word to give. The general consensus is it was a mistake, although some people believe a lesser mistake than others. It's done know, we're out there with a fuckin job to do for better or worse.

We have a legal obligation to look after the Iraqi person which is what the British forces are trying to do. Take a look in the mirror and ask yourself if you could do that job when over half the country hates your guts and is against you? People like you twatting on about what right and wrong AFTER the event fuck me off!

Errr, it's Rash.

He's been kicked off more forums than any normal person can sign up to. I'd imagine he quite enjoys the feeling.

If Iraq used anthrax against Iran, why is there absolutely no record of it, or even any serious accusations of its use?

As far as I'm aware, the only evidence for Saddam having used anthrax was some captured Iraqi POWs in the Iran/Iraq war who had been innoculated against it. Iran was happy to show the world the results of Halabjah, are you seriously suggesting that it wouldn't have been just as quick to have publicised any use of biological weapons against it?

Not denying that Iraq had anthrax, but there is not a shred of evidence of its use.

No-one said anything about anthrax. Iraq used chemical weapons, not biological ones.

I can't find any original materials (medical reports etc) on the web, but I found these articles from what I'd consider reliable sources:

Federation of American Scientists

UN Chronicle (1)

UN Chronicle (2)

Sorry biggit, just read back through the thread and a couple of people did mention anthrax. I assume they were getting their WMD mixed up. No-one in any official capacity ever claimed it was used, was what I meant.

I was immunised against Plague and Anthrax during the first Gulf war which suggests the allies where sufficiently worried that he had the capability back then. I must confess to only ever being briefed on his use of chemical weapons though.

Over 100,000 doses of Anthrax vaccine was supplied to the allied forces for the first Gulf War.

That's not the point, the mistake was not like an innocent one. The mistake was a monumental cock up. One man in the intelligent services committed suicide after going against the government and subsequently witch hunted by said govt.

We went in illegally, with no UN mandate or anything. Most of the UN disagreed with yet we went in. Your "we are there to look after the Iraqi person" shite makes me want to puke. That's like looking after someone kids after shooting their mother for a laugh.

You're a fuckin gobshite, incapable of looking at the situation any other other way other than from your cozy middle class semi in St Albans.
