You can get the equivelant for all office software at www.openoffice.org. You can open all Microsoft Office files with that. If you want Excel you can't get it legally.

I've heard people buy copies of Microsoft Office off e-bay for a tenner or so.

Disaprove of it myself because Mr Gates needs your money and its morally wrong.

I disapprove of it because if they downloaded some free software like emule or torrent client and installed them then they could download a version with autheticode for free.

Does this ' autheticode' allow these reprobates to get all the updates then ?

You just select download updates but install later. Then when you install select custom install. Then simply untick the windows genuine advantage update. That's it.
