Free disk eraser software
I'm looking for a free disk eraser software to put on a cd or preferably a diskette (you know, like a boot disk). I have a pc I want to give to a mate, but I want to erase my files properly first.

Anyone got any tips?

Continuing in the not being helpful mode can you not just whack the recovery disk in and reformat it?

No, I can't.

If all else fails, I'll download Linux and install that on it instead. My mate's not inheriting my XPP license.

I would prefer to get some free disk eraser sw, if anyone knows where I can find it.
