Question Personal DAB Radio

I'm looking at getting a personal dab radio basically for listening to Radio 5 Live, 5Live extra for test match special and Radio 4.
Anybody have a personal dab radio that they can recommend?
It's only for spoken word stations, not music so sound quality does not need to be A1.

What is DAB coverage like in Liverpool?

Re: Personal DAB Radio

the tivoli dab radio is real nice. Old school dial looks with new school tech. Other than that you can always pick up a bargain at richer sounds.

Cunny,

I have got a pure Pocket DAB 1000 and have to say I am not overly impressed. Looks great. Fits neatly in coat pocket etc. However the ear phone lead is the aerial so when you are walking around you get interference. Not exactly what you want fro a personal dab radio.

Saying that, sitting on the train is generally excellent. Have listened to TMS numerous times and is enjoyable. Also at turn on ,tune in and plug in to your pc speakers. Works a treat.

Cant vouch for coverage in the 'Pool but here in sleepy Suffolk it can be variable. I would say you should be ok up there. Check the BBC website, they have a list of transmittters and their power outage.

Make sure you get the right radio and DAB is quality. Thinking of changing my car rado to DAB also.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

A
