Man, he could climb the leagues right now. Sell two or three of them for extortionate sums and get in some ace 32 year-olds to get the average age up. It's going to be at least five seasons before they're competitive, then they'll spend their best years just getting promotions.

That's what I would do. I have a feeling he is a purist. They may well start to climb with a below 26 average. It will be interesting to see if they do better this season. They are set to be fucking immense.

You have to admire the dudes patience and for sticking to his principles. I reckon once the average gets to about 24, they are going to bum everybody to death in the bottom 2 divisions and then take over the top divisions in time.

I agree. He might sneak a promotion before then. I would still get in a couple of real old codgers to bump up the age.

What are other managers transfer plans for the pre-season? Are we all looking to invest? I'm still torn between sticking with what I've got for a few weeks and assessing things or getting the players in as early as possible and let them bed in....hmmmmmm, its a tough job this managing lark.
