Especially for Firefox users
Try this to speed up your Firefox ( up to 10 times faster)

1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit enter. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

2. Alter the following entries:
(double click to change)
"network.http.pipelining" to "true"
"network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Make "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Finally right-click anywhere and select New -> Integer.
Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

This should speed up your access considerably

I've just started using Firefox and found it a lot better than Explorer, but after doing this all I can is "you fucking beauty".

Yes, obviously it originally came from Gav. I meant, where did Gav get the tip from? Certain sites are suggesting that this will get you banned from certain websites, because it overloads the servers.

After reading some of the those comments, I think it would be wise to leave the maxrequests at 4 so as not to choke the server. The browser speed is not affected.
