Do a spyware check on your pc - according to http://www.dvdshrink.org/what.html (the link above) "DVD Shrink is free software. You should never pay for DVD Shrink."

It could be you've got a dodgy version of it somehow, or even a totally different program but with a slightly different name. I'd just recommend doing a scan just in case.

for those taking lots of pictures for email/websites/fanzines etc this is outstanding .I just selected 56 images on my card and resized them all in about 30 secs

Link is http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx
and its about halway down the page on rhs.

Once you intall it right click on the thumbnail(s) and it will give you a resize pics option. It make make a 640x480 copy and also keeps the original.

Regarding firefox, get onto the website and have a browse through the addons. there is some ace stuff. If you find a website that doesn't work in Firefox, there is something called IE tab that mimics IE and runs it perfectly. My work timesheet site used to not work in FF so I used that. There are some nice themes too. Also, add some search engines to the search bar at the top right.
