Word.
You really have to look around for a chippy that does proper spam fritters. They must be the round ones, preferably cooked fresh in front of you. Not the little rectangular fuckers that they've sliced off a supermarket sized tin. The prefabricated ones they have in the supermarket are a piss poor imitation of the real thing.
I could go on about this for quite a while......

I have probably mentioned it before but a mate and me came up with the greatest name ever for a late night kebab gaff a while ago; it was like when mental religious dudes think they speak to god and stuff, there were violins and shit going off and bright lights.
Kebabylon.

I didn't build it up enough actually.

The Hunts Cross Fish Bar used to do those. Food of the gods they were when I was a lad.

Re: Fish or chips?
Fish and chips go together so well. If both are done properly then it is a real treat. The fish is the best bit - tasty, flaky, hot white fish; with crispy (not soggy) batter - though not too much batter, since that detracts from the fish.
Aaahhh - lovely.
I went home to see my mum a couple of weeks back and she got fish and chips for us from the chippy in Claughton Village. Highly recommended. (They don't do kebabs or chinese food - they stick to what they know, and they do great fish and chips. It also looked like they had really nice mushroom gravy, but you can't have everything at once on your plate, so I stuck to the fish and chips). We don't have anything as nice in Northampton (that I've found anyway).
