Check out The Hiss and The Features, both top bands. Not particularly new but Ive been listening to a lot of: The Stills, Stellastar, Black Rebel Motorcyle Club and Air.
Also going to see the Paddingtons and Turismo on Sunday and its gonna be great.

I'm liking that Arctic Monkeys tune that is getting a bit of circulation. I think the lyric "But his bird thinks he's amazing, which goes to show loves not only blind but deaf" is quality.
I am going to look into some Maximo Park stuff too as their new single is decent.
And they are hardly new but anyone who hasn't got it should get the Queens of the stone age album, it's excellent.

Surprised you like them as they're a bit of a Northern Libeertines. Most of the songs are under class observational.
I'll stick some tunes in a zip and PM you the link later.

Incorrect, its rubbish. My mate put their new one in my car when we travelled over for the Juve game and we had to turn it off, it was boring and tuneless. There were abvout 2 good songs on a long album. I like a lot of their previous stuff, but this one is crap. Doesn't even grow on you, I've listened it through about 10 times since and its no better.
Something I've only come across the last couple of weeks is the Jay-z and Linking park mix songs. Not a Linkin Park fan but these work really really well. Jay-z is quality but probably even better mixed like this. Reminded me of Grant from Feeder's remix of Ya Don See The Signs by Mark B and Blade which is awesome.

Quality cd that. Not really a fan of Linkin Park but Jay Z rocks.
The DVD documentary is quite good of it too.

Have a visit to www.blade691.com if ya like and say hello to him from me. Blade solo stuff pisses all over the collab with Mark B. New Blak Twang album rules as well. And the Coral single. And Ben Folds. And bizarrely Lyla kicks ass too.

Re: New Music for this month
just had a look on there. There is a video of a gig in Lyon that is incredible, so fast.
Having said that, have you seen the video for the new song? ( i thikn its for a new song) It is possible the worst music video i have ever seen, reminds me of Brent ni the Office xmas special when he released 'if you dont know me by now'

Never thought I'd hear anybody say that. I d/l the new Oasis album and threw all but a couple of tracks in the recycle bin.
Like the new Subways track.

Is the subways tune the one with the dude and the dudette basically singing, 'yeah yeah, yeah yeah!'?
If so I like that one.
Kudos to MLB by the way over Arcade Fire. I listened to their album a couple of times and thought it was shit but since then its grown on me and I now think its superb and only bettered on my mp3 player by Bloc Party and Kings of Leon.
That 3rd tune on it with the French lyrcs is particularly beautiful....

Re: New Music for this month
It's called My Rock N Roll Queen as far as I know Ian, like you say it's really simple but very catchy.
You should definitely try that french bird I suggested a few weeks back, Camille i think she was called, a few very good tunes.

No that's Oh Yeah but Rock n Roll Queen Is similarly White Stripish in it's volume, simplicity and catchiness.
Probably release 1AM next. Like Arctic Monkeys the demo album seemed to leak before they were signed.

Yeah, that's one of those rare records where I don't skip any of the tracks. There are a couple which I honestly think are among the best things recorded in the last 5 years. I'm thinking mainly of "Wake Up" and "Rebellion (Lies)". They sound better in the context of the album than they do indepentently though, which is weird.
Where rap music's concerned, I reckon the Cage album (out sometime later in the year) is going to be a classic. DJ Shadow? Jello Biafra? Darrly Palumbo? Hell the fuck yeah.
