Well, considering that I haven't seen any of those DVD's I'm not qualified to make an opinion. Iannucci's early stuff had me in pieces. He made me cry more than Shankly's Ghost does, except Shankly's Ghost makes me cry out of fear. He gives me nightmares, that's not comedy.

Armando Ianucci show was ace, I remeber 1 joke about the internet being black and white in the old days.
He also did something with thos fist of fun guys
Brass eye by the way is up there with Alan P as one of the best uk comedies ever
Brass eye is in my opinion the most important satire that has been done for years, in fact I can't think of a more cutting take on the world we live in and how our media present things. The fact that he did a special ridiculing the way the media report on peadophiles and then the next day they prove him right and get hysterical about the show was funny and depressing at the same time.
I'm really surprised that people haven't seen that or Black Books, they are pretty famous.
Hermes, you need to get Brass eye mate, Chris Morris is a genius. And top 5 is defined as "the 5 shows you reckon people should see" or something...chill mate, just throw down something you like that other people might not have seen or something, don't worry, i won't try and say you are wrong.

Seeing Phil Collins sat in a t-shirt with "Nonce-sense" on it and hearing Richard Blackwood say that your child will "Smell of hammers" if he has been in a chatroom with a peadophile are worth the tenner alone.

Well they only other people reading this thread seem to be You knows it and Shanks goat and all they seem to be posting about is their love/hate in
I reckon it has a significant enough following, though the humour isn't mainstream enough to be a major comedy- people don't know what to do with out a laughter track or catchphrases when it comes to comedy

I enjoy stupid satire like Brass Eye but i just never watched many of them.
I do remember one where they were warning of the dangers of 'Cake', a new drug from Eastern Europe that was set to sweep the nation. I remember Claire Rayner making an absolute idiot of herself. Top-notch stuff, as is Monkey Dust. But i thought the Armando Ianucci show was truly awful.
Anyway Remmie id just like to point out that im not actually Shanks' goat. Im not his Ghost either like but youknowarrameanlike?
