How did we end up in with the attacking options we have?
For most of this season I would say ALL of the clubs in the championship have better strikers playing week in week out than we do.
Ngog cant be criticised as he's had an enormous task, but surely we werent banking on an injury free Torres for a whole season.
To have had the players like bellamy, keane and crouch and now be going into games pinning our hopes on Ngog must have actually taken some effort to get so badly wrong.

Who's to blame? What a mess.....
Only one man to blame everybody knows who it is. Crouch done a great job for us. Bellamy not bad but bit of a loose cannon. Keane never really given a proper chance and if we had cover at the moment probably would not be in this situation that we are in.

only one man to blame?, keane never given a chance, to do what miss more air shots.
Your from Dublin , go to internationals, because most irish reds i know dont fancy him and by the rumours in dublin harry rednapp dont eithier. Crouch wanted 1st team football, so break up Gerard & Torres to keep him happy, but i would have tryed to keep Bellamy

we all know the answer to that.
1) he let crouch and bellamy go and the replacements are nowhere near as good.
2) playing one striker makes other top class forwards think "im not sitting on the bench for the next 5 years as nandos boot cleaner".its irrelevant if he had millions to spend because his system would scare off the likes of david villa and co
its no surprise that torres doesnt play a full season due to how much he has to play and lead the line on his todd.
look at the great job bellamy is going on the wing for city. he's being one of their top players this season and is a threat coming in from the left. isnt babel suppose to be doing this

As a West Ham fan, I beg to differ. We've had an occasionally fit Carlton Cole, and beyond that we've been scrambling around amongst very inexperience young 'uns, and whatever we have managed to scape together on loan without injuring them too. Obviously we have much lower objectives here, but you'd have to acknowledge that even without Torres you have much preferable options.
(And yes, I realise we're not championship, if you could just bump this thread in August you'll find everything working out neatly).
