Even though I think Bentley is a better player than Kuyt, the though of such a person replacing him isnt one that excites me.

Re: Bentley confirms he wants to leave Blackburn
Depends what you mean by 'better' I suppose.
I personally think Bentley has blown his load too early by saying champions league or europe because I dont think its us, he wont be going to the Mancs, Chelsea or back to Arsenal so who?

If you saw the interview the Europe was very much an afterthought and in answer to your question we can be the only club that can offer him CL football as I cant see Wenger having him back

I'd prefer him over Milner though to be fair.

Spurs is the only one on the list that could be winning things

If he came it would however be at the expense of Kuyt, better in Kuyts current position and wouldnt be comming to be a squad player
The next coupld of weeks should make things a lot clearer even Euro 08 finishes on 29 june so the Swiss can get Ferderer on the box

they need a defence first, with ledley out more times than the tampon and woodgate is a disaster waiting to happen it will be like watching spurs under ossie all out attack and lose 4-3 every week

He epitomises the modern player; deluded and cash hungry. Nowhere near as good as he thinks.
Swervage please, Rafael.

Re: Bentley confirms he wants to leave Blackburn
Its already been confirmed a couple of times that we're not in for him, and I think he'd struggle to displace Dirk anyway.

Where the fuck did you get from?
21M is a steal.
barry is so overrated and having scummy Villa fans laughing at us makes my blood boil.
Hope Rafa is employing his customary diversionary tactics!

Ive been on this site since the summer of 2005 and how many times have I stuck my neck out on a transfer?
Not going to post anymore on it, if the site doesnt believe Dave U it certainly aint gonna believe me. Ive put two posts on the David Villa thread and thats it.

Pick up your toys Red Nick, I wasn't having a go at all.
If thats true the 48hr torture I had planned for Parry would be reduced to just 24hrs. Come to think of it if he does pull it off how many of you would hold fire on the lynch mob for Parry?
Read somewhere that we'd agreeded a fee but Valencia wanted a fat wedge of it up front and we couldn't/wouldn't do it. Whether the transfer completely died after that I don't know.
Hope feelings are spot on abouot Rafa having an ace up his sleeve.

Appologies if I came over all matter of fact it wasnt meant that way at all, all I was trying to say is if try to justify myself and what I heard you only get more flack from the non believers etc etc. Hamstrung and MLBs posts just sum it up for me but Dave even got people telling him he knew fuckall because he told them something they didnt want to hear.
I heard long after Shankslegend wrote and youve got to remember in all my prevoius posts I have been very much a non believer that we could buy Barry and Villa.
Time will tell if I am right, one of this sites biggest failings is someone cant post something in good faith without being ripped to shit for it

Re: Bentley confirms he wants to leave Blackburn
From the rumour, We entered negotiations for Villa with £18m opener... weeks before the Euro started.
That could not have been far off their valuation pre-tournament.
