Doesn't score many goals either and we are crying out for someone else who can chip in with 12+ league goals in addition to Gerrard and Torres.

due to Neil Ashton and Matt Lawton the Mail is not considered a credible media outlet for sports related news until they're sacked

You would prefer Podolski and Schweinsteiger over Silva? glad we haven't got an idiot like you deciding that kind of thing for us. Silva is a creative little genius whilst Podolski and Schweinsteiger just run up and down in a similar fashion to Kuyt, the fact you seem to rate work ethic over footballing ability suggests to me your from the Rafa/ Mourinho school of judging attacking players.

Re: Silva has £14m release clause
£20m for Silva is absolutely laughable, he is lightweight, not that quick, decent but not brilliant technically and he has poor end product.
Massively overrated IMO.

maybe you should have gotten the Inter job over Mourinho so, or why not just replace Rafa, im sure you`re scouting prowess would have us winning our coveted 19th title, while playing brilliantly attractive attacking football with the likes of David "im built like a 12 year old boy" Silva, and fuck knows whatever media hype shite you agree with, Silva is shite,

In all fairness, that was levelled at Torres before he signed.

Fuckin hell... Finances must be really bad if Xabi is to pay for our deals. How must he feel, sitting in a Hotel room reading all the stuff about him beeing forced out, and on top of that learning that he has to pay for a new player as well.
Poor lad...

I think the Torres situation was different as he had 2 outstanding seasons and 3 average ones in terms of end product before he joined us, you could see his phonomenal potential.
Silva's end product hasn't improved at all since he was on loan at Celta Vigo 3 years ago. 5 goals and 5 assists every year.
I wouldn't be complaining if we signed him at a more reasonable price, but that said, he wouldn't be my first choice either.

Re: Silva has £14m release clause
Silva is better than Mancini The Qman IMHO he is a player that would do very well for us It is all about timing now there will be one or two moves that will trigger another 20 as the merry-go-round sets off on the first of July Hleb to Barca Drogba and Lampard to Milan Ronaldo to Madrid etc

Re: Silva has £14m release clause
I've seen Silva a few times now and he does nothing whatsover in games.
If I had to pick a player, it would be the Turkish lad Arda.
He can play on either wing and has a end product. He scores a shitload of goals as well.
I remember him causing our defence a few problems a couple of years ago when he was only 19 at the time.
