Turning One Point Into Three

This is a quick analysis of why Man united won the Title, even tho they lost one more game than us in the season.

They basically were able to win 17 home games to our 12 (from memory) - however, we didn't lose as many as them..similarly, in away matches, I believe we had a likeness in win/loss ratio, but its the DRAWS that kill us.

As a general observation this season having watched most matches, but not all, I would say that we've not gone on to 'make sure' of three points, when we've been winning games; we've not quite finished teams off- we've dominated possension, created chances - and yes Torres has been in the right place at the right time MANY times...but overall, we take our foot off the gas pedal consistantly, and I can remember several games where we've let the opposition back into what should have been a dead game.

Finishing as a team, needs to improve as much as finishing individually. We need a killer instinct for the full ninety minutes ( I wont forget that own goal by riise for a long time )

Lets turn One Point into Three next season - this should be rafa's message.

Playing 2 up front at home will make a difference. i like this new system we play but need a bit more up front when teams come to defend.

But the fact is that after we changed to the new system I think we have won every home game in the league. It was when playing 4-4-2 we drew our home matches.
