Number 18 next year for the mancs bang on.
Unless we go out and spend 90 million quid on three world class players,thats the game now unfortunately otherwise we are fucked,and the top 4 will become the top 2,90 million quid doesnt grow on trees so we are fooked unless the Arabs go mental and buy the club and lash loads of cash at us.

I believe Rafa`s budget is 40 million that would buy 3 quarters of Kaka.

My post weren't complete bollocks, it was about the gulf of what certain amounts of money buys a club. So Rafa hasn't got the eye for the right player yet? You could say that with what you just said in that post.

I altered my post as you can see from above as it may have been a bit harsh.

What I was trying to get at is that Rafa has chosen the wrong players to buy in certain instances.

Why did we sign Benayoun last summer? I didn't think he'd be good enough and didn't see where he was going to fit in and this has been proved correct.

The same happened with Pennant the summer before.

Last summer we needed a defender, left winger and a striker. We only signed a striker. Babel is gonna be a top player, but he isn't a winger.

Money helps of course, but the money could have been spent a lot better than it has done with regards to a lot of Rafa signings.

Torres,Gerrard, are truly top draw,world class win a game on their own type players,we need 2 or 3 more of that type of player and we need them asap,we cant aford to gamble on players.

i wouldnt say 90 million myself, but at least 2 big 20 million + players are needed for a starter, of course retaining Alonso, imo is important too

i dont know anymore, it seems no matter how hard we want it, we`ll never overturn the mancs, we just dont have their miney, and never will
