Torres - 24 league goals
I'm out of superlatives for that lad. What a player he is! Today he even overtook RvN as the foreigner to score the most goals in his debut season.

To top it off he's a good lad as well.

Hat's off to you, Fernando. I hope this is the first of many seasons wearing our no. 9 jersey.

I absolutely love everything about him. His attitude, his reaction to scoring a goal, the fact that he doesn't take shit from the likes of Ferdinand and Terry. A class act.

I totally agree with WaltonRed's comment in another thread that we were made for him and he was made for us.

The fact that some of us including myself doubted he would cut the mustard or suggested the likes of Eto or Villa (who could be just as good over here) instead makes me realise just how good Rafa is when given the chance. Taggart and Whinging Frog never bit the bullet and went for him but we did and him so happy we finally took a chance.
Where are those that wanted Owen back instead of Torres now?

That's not quite true Taggart went for him two previous seasons before us.

The reason he never went was he said he wasn't ready to move away yet.

Taggart was asked about why he never went for him this season and he said well we tried to sign him twice and he didn't want to leave.

Let's just hope he goes on to progress in his second season here as now all the defenders
