Re: Stadium work starts in September

What are the chances of those on the waiting list getting a season ticket?

I thought they were going to offer people the chance to stay on it due to most of the people on their being blag or dead.

I believe in ten years time we will still be at Anfield. I really believe that.

Perhaps we should be working from a solid financial base before trying to compete. Trying to build an 80,000 seater stadium straight off the bat won't allow that to happen.

As I have said before it is being built with the planning permission of 60,000 granted, and a further application to make it a 72,832 seater stadium to be submitted in the future.

The total cost of the ground including inflation to the finish of the ground is £397m

Does that figure include the cost of modenising the railway?
We wont reach 70,000+ without its modenisation.

In the Planning Application it states that there will only be another 5,000 season tickets (that's based upon a 60,000 seater stadium).

Re: Stadium work starts in September

Does anyone have any idea who was invited to tender? Or was it open invite? Anyone know what type of tender it is?

Re: Stadium work starts in September

When you consider the amount of stick people give out to so called 'day trippers' etc, Im amazed some people think we'd fill a 70k stadium week in week out.

Just exactly were are these 30,000 so called genuine fans going to come from?

60k is big enough until we can show we need a sustainable capacity increase to 70k. Otherwise, the club would be saddled with even more debt!

The season ticket waiting list could be cleared providing probably even more than the 30,000 fans you talk about.
