Maybe something along the lines of "Give us our fucking money back, you fat malingerer"?

Word is he was offered a deal with reduced wages. You think he at least owes us that.

Re: Strewth!

He shouldn't have been offered anything at all imo, can't get rid of him quick enough.

I do not think it lasted the full season, I think we got half a decent season out of him, plus a few sparodic games here and there.
I find it hard to wish him anything. I am glad he is gone and off the wage bill, that about sums it up.
Don't close the door Harry.

I'm not saying I wanted him to stay by any means but he goes with my best wishes and sympathy. Before his problems started he was one of the most gifted players in our league.

He was one of our best players in his first season, not really a great achievement I know...

Exactly. The abuse Kewell gets is unreasonable and unfair. It's not his fault he was the world's unluckiest player for injuries, followed closely by Kirkland.

His bad luck as a player was our bad luck as a club and it's a real shame as he was genuinely world class as shown by how ecstatic every Red was when we signed him.

He was keen as mustard to be here and tried hard when he was fit. We should show some Liverpool FC class and wish him all the best for the future.

Re: Strewth!

He can fuck off. Lazy waste of fucking money, and people making excuses for him because he was once class. He had a good season with leeds then became a lazy shithouse and fucked them over. Then he had a half decent season with us and became a lazy shithouse. Fuck off kewell. Sooo many chances that lad was given it's unreal, by me as well. Twat! He can piss off and play friendlies for Austrailia.

Re: Strewth!

I never really understood the personal anger aimed at Kewell. Frustration, yes. If he's injured he's injured and when he's returning he's unfit, obviously.

At the time when Leeds were flying relatively high, Kewell and Viduka were exciting players to watch, Kewell in particular being a player that would make things happen from nothing and nowhere - from dribbles to absolute screamers.

It is a shame the way it's panned out, for both us and the player himself but more from the perspective of a football fan in general. Good players should be playing and, if he had a working body, he would be a fantastic player.

I can never work out how these fans get into his head and know for a fact that he only decides to declare himself fit for big games. I imagine he's been desperate to be back playing for us more than any one of us has.

Yes, with hindsight he's been a waste of money but my overriding emotion is disappointment as when we signed him I was absolutely made up but only got to see the player he could have been for us in fits and spats. There's no anger there.

When we signed him, the mancs, chelsea, barcelona and Inter where all in for him. IMO he was up there with the best for a few years at Leeds
He was. It might be hard to believe now but he was ridiculously talented. World class wingers are becoming rare as hens teeth and if we get hold of one we need to protect him. They rarely seem to last much past 25yo. Look at Harry, Duff, Vicente. Giggs has done well but IMO the lateral movements they make, the 'shimmy', and the like put too much stress on their groins, knees and ankles.

Well how much was he offered? how many games was he likely to play for us? Can his body still stand up to playing in the premier league?

I am a big fan of Harry's but for me I think it is time he left. Possibly to Italy, where he may be able to contribute with more time on the ball. Cannot understand why everyone is now pissed off he isnt staying when so many couldn't wait to see him go.

It's time for everyone to move on.

Your right. I think Houllier brought him back to early from the injury in dec '03 and he has had no end of problems since. Might be wrong because he had injuries at Leeds too.

Re: Strewth!

Fat lard arsed waste of space with the ability to have injuries that would heal just in time to play for his country or major finals for his club.

If it's true he was offered some sort of contract here on smaller wages and he has refused it,I really hope he never kicks a ball again for any other team.

Boyhood Liverpool fan my arse he had so many chances to show us what he could do and failed everytime.Even now after picking up how many thousands for how many seasons from the club, who have been patient with him to refuse a smaller wage shows what he really is a twat.

Are you still not allowed to say anything bad about him on Rawk? It's awful things did not work out for him , he obviously gave his all. Would have been like a new signing too.
