If Rafa wants to buy more rope let him. The bottom line is a league challenge or P45 next summer. His annual bluff/flirtation with other clubs will be laughed at if he doesn't deliver next season.

No it won't, that was this years mandate and he's gotten another year after failing to deliver on the league challenge.

Its all if buts and maybes at the moment,
BUT IF Alonso stays AND we get Barry and it was at the expense of say Nasri or Quaresma then Rafa might as well pack his bags

Sky Sports News are running a story about the teams who have spent most in the last ten years.

Chelsea are miles away in first place then its Man United followed by Liverpool.

Only two teams can pay upto £30 million for numerous players and those two teams are currently first and second in the Premier League and are looking forward to also playing against each other in the Champions League final.
