Hleb to leave Arsenal

His agent has confirmed that Hleb will leave Arsenal in the summer with Inter Milan favourites to sign him.

I dont know how long he has on his contract or if he would be prepared to stay in the Premier League but this lad would be a top signing for us.

We have not been linked with him but would be nice to think we were interested.

On a side note i think if i was an Arsenal fan i would be a little worried at the moment.

Flamini already gone, Hleb going and Fabregas said to be unsettled due to departures.

He is buying out his contract apparently.

Can Crouch do the same?

I agree about Hleb - always liked him even though his goal scoring record is not that great.

Happy days. I can't stand them at all. But knowing Wenger he will probably pull out a few of his "Kids off the streets of Sierra Leone but they're really from the French League".

He's be a great signing for us. Our ball retention would improve at a stroke.

Except that with Flaimini and Hleb, they are not exactly 'selling'. Them two are fucking off. Which is fucking great.

don't see how this will mean whinger will be given a huge war chest and I think this time around he will shallow his pride and spend big this summer.

Better off without them if they're only chasing cash though, unless it's indicative of players losing faith in the manager.

Wenger should fuck Gallas off too and make Fabregas captain.

Re: Hleb to leave Arsenal

Hleb is very over rated. Decent in their system when its all flowing well but if you just stand off him he will eventually dither about and then fall over the ball himself. Just part of the "beautiful arsenal" bollocks and believing his own hype IMO.

Funny what flamini did to wenger esp after he did the same to Marseille when he took flamini.
Hope they implode though.

Re: Hleb to leave Arsenal

If Hleb buys out his contract we cannot sign him as the player who has bought out his contract can only move to a club in another league.

They've lost 2 of their best 4 midfielders. Rumours about Gilberto and Diaby too. Could be a difficult season next year for Wenger.

He only has 11 goals in three seasons.

I don't think he is overrated at all. His passing and movement is superb - he hardly ever gives the ball away, unlike a fair few of our players. He needs to add goals to his game but everyone recognises that.

Re: Hleb to leave Arsenal

I think Hleb is a great player, Its Arsenals fault that theyve got a wage structure that they wont break, but they paid thierry Herny £120,000 a week last season because he was a "special case". No wonder Flamini/Hlebs heads are turning when they are getting offered £70/ £80k week wages.

Re: Hleb to leave Arsenal

Adebayor unhappy too.

Arsenal will have to look at their wages policy because it seems they're not even competing with the likes of Spurs, Pompey and Newcastle.

Great dribbler, would be a good signing for us but all the signs point to him going to Serie A.

Re: Hleb to leave Arsenal

He was the best player on the pitch at Anfield for the league game.

If he goes then Arsenal have lost 2 of their 3 best players this season. Could be 3 if Fabregas goes.

Spot on, it happened at Chelsea when players like Terry and Lampard were upset when Shevchenko and Ballack arrived on huge wages and wanted a pay rise to match them.

The same seems to be happening at Arsenal but the difference there is Arsenal do not have the capital to be able to offer highly inflated wages.

Agreed.

A sad day when a player of his quality is hailed as some sort of class act.
