That's pretty much it. Arsenal really haven't won anything lately and selling Henry, Vieira, letting Pires walk, etc has made everyone realise that they are still a selling club.

If Fabregas puts his foot down. It'll be a shite river for the Arse.

Re: Hleb to leave Arsenal

Hleb is an excellent player with superb ball retention. He'll certainly be a loss, but Wenger is good at spotting the up-and-comings so I think he'll unearth a replacement.

Re: Hleb to leave Arsenal

Flamini is a big loss, though Diaby will likely help them not skip a beat. Gilberto is past it now, so if he goes it won't be a problem. If Hleb goes they will probably unearth someone else.

I feel Arsenal are delicately poised and could go either way. Having said that, at the end of last season I was thinking Spurs might displace them in the top four. Much as it is nice to revel in their difficulties, they probably aren't quite falling apart at the seams as we would like to hope.

Wenger holds it all together. If and when he moves on, we'll see them slip back.

Like Danny Murphy? Hleb is fast, mobile, has quick feet, is a good dribbler in terms of he has very quick feet and hardly ever gives the ball away. Not in any way like Danny Murphy. He isn't a superstar, and never will be, but he is a very good player.

This current Arsenal team reminds me of the old LIverpool team under Paisley where the individuals didnt matter it was the team system first and then finding players to fit the system rather than signing a player and then getting them and try and adapt to the LFC system.

Arsenal just get players to fit into there style of play but you still need the Henry and Viera´s of this world to make you winners

Re: Hleb to leave Arsenal

Obviously these players that are off to Italy for the money, the league is really poor with loads of crowd trouble followed by terrible attendences.
Honestly i can't understand why a top footballer would go there, o.k the money they pay can be huge but your pretty much giving away alot of your ambition by going there. Unless you go there when your young and owe the club for helping you reach the top like Kaka i can't fathom why someone would give up England or Spain and it shows what the game really means to you.

Funny what flamini did to wenger esp after he did the same to Marseille when he took flamini.
Hope they implode though.
Hleb is very much under-rated IMHO every time i see them if he plays well he seems to pull the strigs far more than Cesc does i dont know how they will replace him

Wenger will have to get the Cheque book out he needed 3 players before these 2 ship out now the figure is up to 5

Moyes will be pulling the head off it thinking next year will be his year to become a big club

I wish i could get a bet on them no better than 7th next season

How exactly have Arsenal always been a selling club (before now).

Who is it that they've sold who's gone onto bigger and better things?

I'm not saying the statement is bullshit, but I genuinely can't think of alot of players who have gone on to do much, after Arsenal, which is why I asked.
