Re: Juventus preparing £15 million Alonso bid

Sky Sports | Football | News | Ruben not Red yet

This article is from a while back but it clears up who owns De La Red.

He is Getafe's but Real have a buy back which is 4.5m they are going pay it as they know they'll make more.

Speculate to accumulate.

Cheers for clearing that up, I couldn't put my finger on how it was going to work!

At his best, I would agree, Alonso is better. But at the levels they've both been playing at for the last two seasons, they're about level. There is a distinction to be made here between talent and levels of performance. Also, I suspect (and I'll hold my hands up if I'm wrong) that Carrick has actually scored and created more goals than Alonso over the last two seasons. It seems to me that Xabi has either lost his mojo or his heart isn't here any more.

I haven't heard anything about him wanting to go home mate, just that he's not happy.

He was very close to Pako from what I was told and he doesn't get on anywhere near as well with Rafa.

Re: Juventus preparing £15 million Alonso bid

His mrs wants to go back to Spain apparently. Raise the faily in their native land and all that.

Heard a while back from a good source that Atletico were interested in him and Arteta. Seems to have gone quiet or maybe depends on their CL qualification.

Re: Juventus preparing £15 million Alonso bid

Carrick, Hargreaves Scholes Nani Anderson Giggs have all shared the games between them games throw in a few games for Fletcher and hey you have major rotation. So maybe signing Barry doesn't mean the end of Alonso maybe Rafa might copy Ferguson and Rotate Just using better quality players.

In fact both Chelsea and United their core of players haven't played that many games Lampard, Drogba, Terry, Carhavlho and some of the manc players named, rotation it works.

Although Alonso isn't a shouter or screamer you get the feeling he's one of the players in the squad who has the respect of everyone and is a link between the foreign lads and the rest of the team, comes across as as a bright lad, be a big miss if he left and not just for his playing skills.
