Re: Rijkaard Sacked.

Mancini or Pellegrini as outsiders to replace Rijkaard. I can see Rijkaard going to either Chelsea or A.C Milan as Milan are looking for a fresh start with new personnel, and Belusconi seems to have lost the plot. Pellegrini has also said that he can't take his team any further given that he isn't getting backed by his board.

This situation could get interesting with Mourinho unemployed.

Re: Rijkaard Sacked.

When Rijkaard took over they hadn't won the league for 5 years...or indeed any trophy since 1999. There is a tribute on Barca sites now, the fans like him. He had taken them as far as he could but he leaves a success.... he turned them around and won the league twice.. (without needing 10 years and/or 200 million)

I'd rather have Rafa than Rikjaard any day of the week and thrice on Sunday. Rafa is ace.

Mourinho and his anti-football at Barca? No chance. Mancini won't get in either, it will be Laudrup, Allardyce or Moyes.

"also ran uefa cup"??? you can cut that shit out for a start.

Rijkaard did a good job at Barca but a very good manager/coach would not have let the current situation materialise.

Re: Rijkaard Sacked.

Hence the word 'Outsiders'. I think it has been harsh on Rijkaard with the football he's been playing. He has had his team playing some unbelievable football but no end product. Especially with the Camaroonian Cisse up front. He has had a stinker of a season. He has built a good team, winning titles, Champions leagues and Copa del Reys. But I can't feel much sympathy for him because of the quality and talent he had at his disposal.

Nice one for using my 10 Divorces fact aswell, Rash.

The ten divorce thing is common news mate, even the commentators said it during the CL game... and many others have said on here.. do a search. But if you are precious about it feel free to keep it as your own

Rijkaard's style of play is superb... and it wins trophies... the reason for the decline is beyond his control... he has been playing 4-3-3 all along too...

I think Henk was part of it.. it's no coincidence that things have been shit since he left.. like Chelsea turned round since he joined. Both Rijkaard and Henk are top coaches...

Re: Rijkaard Sacked.

The Barca president and the team he bought with him when he was originally elected was behind the revival of Barca, not Rijkaard. The dirty spitter was put in charge of a dream team that the president had assembled, and the past 2 seasons he has struggled to get the best out of that team. He deserves the sack.

Just wonder how you moaning monkies would react if Rafa was sacked for a season that Barca have just had

Re: Rijkaard Sacked.

Rijkaard inherited a youth system with Iniesta, Valdes, Messi, Bojan and Dos Santos in it. That's about £200m worth of talent. He was also allowed spend big money on Deco, Ronaldinho, Etoo and Henry. He did a good job, but in the end he wasn't able to control the egos.

Etoo = The Cameroonian Cisse? Jesus fucking christ that's a whopper, the guy is one of the 3 best forwards in the game, he's scored 75 goals in 105 games for Barca and 14 in 15 this season.

Flame grilled!

Hence the term; "He has had a stinker of a season.". You couldn't mistake the two if you seen how he played against the Mancs, and all season. He has been shit. Have you got Sky Sports?

14 in 15 and he's been shit?

If people judged every player on their performance against Man Utd they wouldn't see what all the fuss around Steven Gerrard was about.
