I'd be made up with Sammy back. Think a lot of the players would too!

Re: Miller turning Japanese

Alex Miller mustve been a good coach, you dont work under two great european managers for that long if you're not, so all the best to him. I remember meeting him once in town and having a brief chat, real nice fella.

I hope sammy comes in, that interview with michael robinson and dalglish and souness when they meet torres, reina and arbeloa makes me laugh when you hear sammy speak spanish, be nice to see him back.

Re: Miller turning Japanese

Bono haters suck dead donkey balls. Scientifically proven.

Anyway:

Sammy had taken to wearing the micropone 24/7 and it was changing him.

*Thinks*

They had style, they had grace
Paddy Berger: real nice face
Jamie, Jari, Macca too
Robbie Fowler, we love you

Players with an attitude
Fella's that were in the mood
Don't just stand there, let's get to it
Strike a pose, there's nothing to it

Yeah!

Re: Miller turning Japanese

I am sure I read on some forum ages ago (not here I don't think) that some of the players didn't rate Sammy Lee - thought he was a bit of a yes man. Might be mistaken.

Like Phil Neal to Graham Taylor?

I don't understand why people are so excited about Sammy Lee. A nice fella, for sure, but what will he be able to bring to the table alongside Rafa? No new Paco is he? However if Rafa wants him, he must think he got something to offer beside enthusiasticly leading the warm-up.

He was the only one of the training staff that Rafa wanted to keep when he was assigned as manager. He knows the club inside out and he is a scouser and he's got experience from playing top football in both England and Spain as well as coaching. But the most apportent thing is probably the fact that he speaks spanish.

Re: Miller turning Japanese

Miller played an important role when Rafa first arrived. He provided reports on all Premiership opposition and briefed Rafa on their style of play (I'm sure I read that somewhere). I'm sure his role became less important as Rafa became familiar with the league.

Sammy Lee will be good, his enthusiasm and passion can only be an assett.
