I'm going. I've spurned a free seat in the press box to sit in the Main Stand with Pete and John G. Man of the people I am.

Re: Reserve final tonight

Brazilian international Lucas has been included in Gary Ablett's reserve team for the play-off final against Aston Villa at Anfield tonight - a match you can watch live on LFC TV from 7.30pm GMT.
The midfielder replaces the injured Jay Spearing in the team and Emiliano Insua also starts at left back. Moroccan international Nabil El Zhar is also back in the team after injury.

Having won the northern league title in style by 13 points, the Reds' second string will take on MacDonald's southern winners in a battle to be crowned the best reserve side in the country.

Liverpool team

Mikel San Jose
Ronald Huth
Damien Plessis
Nabil El Zhar
Lucas
Jordy Brouwer
Krisztian Nemeth
Ryan Flynn

Subs

Craig Lindfield
Andras Simon

The duo are joined by senior quartet Stuart Taylor, Wayne Routledge, Isaiah Osbourne and Moustapha Salifou for the Anfield clash (ko 7.45pm)

Kevin MacDonald's men go into the game as southern league champions while Liverpool were the runaway winners of the northern section.

Aye, even Routledge and Maloney (who I am presuming will play on the wings) will be good tests for darby and insua. Routledge is a very direct player so should be a good battle there.

PS: that delfuenso who is on the bench for villa is a cracking player, reminds me of agbonlahor.

Re: Reserve final tonight

Huth is a strong young lad but playing against a striker like Harewood will be a real test for him.

Is Routledge a right winger. If so will be a good test for Insua as well. Pacey, Premier league experienced so looking forward to see how Insua gets on.

Re: Reserve final tonight

Villa really want this trophy. Pity it wouldnt go down as a trophy for Martin O'Neill, rather Kevin McDonald (isnt he off one of the soaps?)

Routledge played for palace as a right winger coop. Hardly seen him since.

I knew that, its was more of an unprovoked sly poke at the way the lads career has stagnated since joining spurs. I remember being gutted we didnt sign him. Hopefully it wont come back and bite me in the arse tonight. Karmas a bitch!
