Re: Mr James Lee Duncan Carragher

There is more then Carragher within the dressing room who are upset at how its been run by the yanks but until the season was over they were not prepared to let their feelings be known.

Carragher is in a position like its been said where Hicks or Gillett would open a whole new chapter of hate if they did anything to Carra so even Hicks with his stupidity would not do this.

Wouldnt be surprised to see a couple more ex players have a turn at abusing the owners and who knows you might even here something from Gerrard.

Just suppose the worst case scenario happens and Hicks is still here next season. Do you honesty think he will worried about upsetting us any more if he got shut of Carra because of last night. He'd be expected to do something about it and as hes proved he doesnt care who he upsets along the way.

Carra knows something and this mess the club is in is near to an end.

He obviously knows something that the Hick's doesn't then.

The lad has stuck his neck out, not for himself, but for us.

The world is full of shithouses, especially in football, who only care about number one,and I'm proud that one of own has the cajones to step out call it how it is

As i've said a million times before, Jamie doesn't need no armband, as he proved again last night

I really dont need a lecture on the merits of JC.

Like I said if the worst case scenario happens how dose this leave his position within the club.

Agree with all that post.

But the bit in bold is the one thing that sets Jamie apart from the rest of football world, he has the balls to say what he feels.

He has done well to last this long without saying anything.

Wonder what Mad Erik would say on all of this.

Untouched, he will be left alone.

It will back fire on Hicks if he does do anything, I see it as Jamie calling Hicks' bluff and I believe Rafa would have been aware too.

I had left before JC did his bit last night so dont know how far he went. But I seem to recall Mr Houllier getting shut of Fowler without there being much of a backlash aimed at him.

I fail to see how Hicks could just let this go by without reacting to it in some way. His ego is far to big to allow that to happen. But I dont think he will be here next season anyway.

Fowler's situation is totally different to Jamie's.

Jamie is standing up for the club, the fans and is speaking out as a fan.

Houllier didn't like Robbie. At the time it was the right decision to let Robbie go as he was not the player he was.

I'm not denying what Jamie has done. Has put his neck on the line but I do think your underestimating the reaction of a fat power mad Texan with a JC in his bonnet.

Jamie will not be worried by Hicks, Hicks should be worried by Jamie. If he was he would not have attended last night.

If he does become even more stupid than he already is, Hicks will create unrest right through the club. Repercussions will be felt from every staff member, every player, tea ladies, and then throw the fans in.

Do not underestimate the power of A Jamie Carragher with a fat power mad texan in his bonnet.

What can he do though? Stop his wages? Nope. Sack him? Nope. Tell Rafa not to play him? Rafa would threaten to walk and other players would refuse to play or walk. Sell him? Again Rafa would be furious so would fellow players and Jamie couldnt be forced to leave. Theres nothing he can do.

Re: Mr James Lee Duncan Carragher

I wouldn't worry about Carra's future under Hicks for speaking out. I really doubt even Hicks would interfere at that level - if Carra's stepped out of line (and there's no saying he has) it's up to Rafa to discipline him.

I think Carra could call Hicks just about anything and survive. Call Rafa anything and he'll be gone.

If Carra kept on criticising Hicks it might be different.

I actually think next season could be a bit of a shitty season for Carra anyway. He's got to admit to himself that Rafa may decide to use Agger and Skrtel as first choices most of the time. But Carra's fought off competition before, so I'd not write him off yet. I can't see him being too pleased with playing full-back with any kind of regularity either. But Carra's the kind of player to see this as a challenge, and Skrtel and Agger might find themselves rotated more than Carra.

Carra will still play plenty of games next season although dont be surprised if some of them are right back again.

If Carra plays right back next season it will be a damning indictment of Rafa's transfers given he has and will have signed so many full backs.
