Rashid, hypocrisy is everywhere. There are far more important issues to be worried about (eg: some of our fans chanting insulting filth or behaving obscenely with opposition players, while simultaneously throwing their toys out of their prams if the same happens to our players).

Bottom line: its unlikely that any Liverpool player would seriously go public and recommend that a teammate join a "bigger club", because after all, we're Liverpool. The last guy who tried that (on himself) was Michael Owen, and we all know how that turned out.

Agreed. I have only seen Barry in about 5 full games this season, but what I have seen have not impressed me. I simply cant see what he will bring to the team that we dont have today? (other than his nationality..) We need wingers and a new left back, not more central midfielders (unless Alonso gets the boot). If Alonso goes he will be a good sub for him, but I dont think Barry will strenghten us. And he will be damn expensive.

When you look at what we paid for Lucas and for Babel, both for promise. As Barry is a current England International £10m would be a steal, he is worth half a Hargreaves ?

Why not? We get taken for a ride in the transfer market. We should dig our heels in and demand £25m for a player who only signed a new contract last sumer. If clubs want him, that is the fee take it or leave it.
