Re: Villa captain Barry told to sign for Liverpool - by his own team-mate
Sell the deadwood and buy Gareth Barry, David Silva and 2 attacking full backs.

Rashid - He plays for Villa, not us.

We are big enough for a Real Madrid fan to turn down managing them in favour of us.

Re: Villa captain Barry told to sign for Liverpool - by his own team-mate
Perhaps the Spaniard who left Barca to come to us didn't realise that - or the Spaniard who turned down Real to carry on managing us was a little confused.
There must be an explanation!

Re: Villa captain Barry told to sign for Liverpool - by his own team-mate
The Spaniard who turned down Madrid to manage us openly admits he wants to manage them one day and courts their interest every summer? Who is the Spaniard who left Barca to come to us? Would that be their reserve and always loaned out star Luis Garcia? Get real please.

Barca have an alumni that includes Ronaldo, Romario, Haji, Stoichkov, Koeman, Cruyff, Maradona, Beguiristáin, Laudrup to name but a few..and 100,000 capacity stadium and club owned by the fans. Real are the most successful club in world football... you can't argue with that. So if one of our Spanish lads told Gerrard to go to a top Spanish club I'd hate him for it. |

Um... I have Rashid on Ignore so I can't quote him but since people keep quoting him... I have a response for his "To a spaniard bollocks..."
To a spaniard, Liverpool is literally the top team outside of Spain. I'm not spanish but I spend time there, speak the language, and many mates to live there, etc. The only competition for Madrid/Barca is Liverpool FC.

Rash, I'm with you on this. We would not be happy if the boot was on the other foot.

The hypocrisy astounds me. On one had we have people attacking Theo Walcott for not shitting on Southampton to join us, and on the other hand we laud players for holding their clubs to ransom to join us.
