Re: Liverpool v Man City
Insua does start in a strong team.
Alonso on bench as is Voronin. No Crouch even on the bench.
Reina, Finnan, Insua, Carragher, Hyypia, Lucas, Mascherano, Babel, Kuyt, Gerrard, Torres. Subs: Itandje, Voronin, Benayoun, Alonso, Skrtel.
Although people are boycotting it the lads will be playing in the new home kit.

Re: Liverpool v Man City
No Pennant, Crouch or Arbeloa in the 16.
Would have liked to see Nemeth and Plessis on the bench, pity.
We'll be playing in the new kit today too.

Re: Liverpool v Man City
Huge fuck off to Crouch, Pennant and Riise - hopefully these likely deals can go as how Rafa intends.
Sad for the big lad though, if he does leave the Club, he leaves lots of warm memories, gave us some great goals and performances and really made an impression - will always be fondy thought of, if he does move on.

Re: Liverpool v Man City
I wouldn't take who is and isn't on the bench as any sign of who's leaving or who's not.
There just happens to be a limited amount of space on the pitch and the bench and Rafa will pick those he thinks are best for the tactics he wishes to employ.
Probably.

There is that chance, but I can't imagine that he will. He's not as bad as the abuse leveled at him but he hasn't exactly carried his form on from the beginning of the season(although he did have that lengthy injury).

Re: Liverpool v Man City
A joke picking Voronin and not Crouch - I hate it when we go through things like all that 'what a waste of money' period for Crouch, then stick it to them and then do what we can to suggest he's a waste of money after all.

Re: Liverpool v Man City
Maybe he doesn't want another Cisse, where he breaks his leg and is out for a season.
He's obviously off so what's the point in risking serious injury, and the loss of a big fee, and playing him in a meaningless game.

i like that rationale....
it's obvious crouch is more valuable than voronin
voronin can break both legs and his value wouldn't drop much

Totally unfair. The honest truth is that Voronin can operate on that right or left side of the formation if it's necessary and Crouch cannot, with only five player's on the bench, it makes sense to pick the player who can play a multitude of positions over the one which can only play one.
