Re: The Best Footy Advert Ever!

That was by far the best footy advert ever, although I thought at first it was the old sugar puffs one.

have some rep for brightening up my last hour of work mate.

Fantastic. Brazil was also great, at least until the final. And Croatia, excellent team. My favourite game from that toournament has to be Brazil v Denmark 2-3. The Danes had a nice team back then with both Laudrups, Jørgensen, Sand, Schmeichel, Helveg, etc.

To be fair Euro 2000 was quite good too. Portugal pre-fake-Ronaldo was excellent and Bolo Zenden was awesome back then when he actually had pace.

Completely agree, Zidane in his pomp, and a genuinely great England side full of top lads.

I loved all those Nike adverts - the secret tournament one and the match against the devil's eleven, too.

Re: The Best Footy Advert Ever!

Love that advert. Reminds me of getting home from School, going over the field with my mates to play footy and trying to pull bits of skill off singing that tune.

I wish I was back at School when life was so easy.

Re: The Best Footy Advert Ever!

The 2002 World Cup was the best for me.

It was class watching the footy while you were having your Coco Pops of a morning. Our school even opened up early so you could go in and watch the match. So many class upsets such as France and Argentina getting knocked out in the groups and the likes of South Korea, USA, Senegal and Turkey enjoying good runs. Ronaldo was a joy to watch as well.

Gotta love playing footy in a cage. On a boat. When Ronaldinho was only just becoming great.

And with silver balls.
