That's a good way mate..I do the Riga flight from Liverpool regularly and last time I went was £1.68 each way (cuppa on board was £1.80!)..
Then look for the flights from Riga-Moscow via Air Baltic.

Haven't read any else's posts but I'm on flight options - 600 for flights in and out, no hotel, get there between 2 and 4 on the day of the game and leave about 5 in the morning the next day. It's the cheapest I've seen anywhere, don't know if they'll have any spaces left though.

Best I've found so far is Aberdeen to St Petersberg about 400 return. Overnight sleeper to Moscow 50 quid. Get to Red square 10ish.
All day on the piss match 50 quid 7am train back to St Petersberg 7 'ocklock flight home. No hotel, But I willl need to book one for a visa.
Plus I oly have 4 months left on my passport, need 6, for a visa.

Well I don't know how it works now, but not so long ago you could just pay a small deposit at the Hotel, they gave a confirmattion and then you applied for the visa.

Once the visa in your pocket you cancelled the reservation, simple as that but things may have changed with the Russians !

You need an invitation to stay. It is illegal for a hotel to give an invitation for someoneone who has no intention of staying.
This is not the Thames valley plod we are dealing with this is the KGB. Long after we are gone the hotel will still be there.
There are agencies. who for a fee will get you an invite.
There was a link posted befor for Latvian airways they fly to Moscow from the Dam at 10 oclock ish the day before.
The best I can get is to arrive in Amsterdam at 8.35. Thats cutting it too fine for me. It is a 8 hr drive to the airport to catch the flight to AMS.
If you can get to AMS or Munich (fitting) early the day before it is quite straight forward.

Is fucking right. All the prices have rocketed overnight. Rang around mates last night and with the mancs qualifying, only one guy is still intending on going and he will never be able to afford it.

I wouldnt be arsed with a day trip. You will probably have untold visa problems when you arrive in Moscow, if you can get one for the day. I have been there and they were the most cuntish people when it came to visas. Moreover, if there is trouble the night before, I have no doubt that they will just stop people from entering the country on the day of the game.

Also, we were warned not to go near any pubs, we only could drink in 2 hotel bars.

Fuck right off UEFA.
