How about Elano?

Now Erikson's left?

Great attacking player... I remember seeing him in Brazil v Argentina at the Emirates and thought, who is this kid?

I'd love to see him here.

Re: How about Elano?

It's not September anymore, Elano isnt flavour of the month anymore. He was awesome at right back at the weekend though so sack Deggen off and get him in for RB.

Silly season.... not always the papers who start the shit is it.

Just who do City think that they can attract who is better and has more of a pull factor than Eriksson?

Sven Goran Eriksson hopes Manchester City's season is not judged on their capitulation against Fulham amid fresh doubts about the Swede's future.

City have endured a frustrating second half of the campaign which has prompted questions to be raised about Eriksson's future in the job. The Swede only took on the role last summer, but owner Thaksin Shinawatra recently admitted he would review Eriksson's position at the end of the season.
Shinawatra is unhappy at how City have fallen out of contention for European football in recent months and met with the manager at the weekend.

Following the 3-2 defeat at home to Fulham, in which City threw away a two-goal lead, Sky Sports News has learned that the two men had a frank exchange of views.
Sky Sports News also understands that issues are 'coming to a head' regarding the former England coach's future at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Lesson for future

However, Eriksson feels it would be unjust to judge City's campaign on the basis of conceding three goals in the final 20 minutes against relegation-threatened Fulham.

"What did we expect from this team before the season started?" Eriksson told the club's official website. "We are not a side that is fighting for the Champions League yet, because if you are you don't give away three points like we did against Fulham on Saturday. "You can't judge the season on the last 20 minutes of Saturday, I'm very disappointed with what happened and I hope it's a lesson to everyone for the future."

City also released a statement which read: "Sven Goran Eriksson is attending a football foundation event in London tonight on behalf of the club and he will be at Carrington tomorrow morning to take training as normal."Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed that he has no plans to leave the club."
Not exactly conclusive that. Sky Claim to understand a lot of thing but the fact they employ Richard Keys tells me that they are fucking clueless.

Re: How about Elano?

Sky Sports knows a lot less than Sky Sports thinks it knows.

And Elano has been shit since about October. He's been playing right back recently, maybe we should sign him as replacement for Finnan.

Not.

Sven-Goran Eriksson will be sacked as Manchester City boss after only one season in charge. The Swede came away from an "unpleasant" meeting with club owner Thaksin Shinawatra on Monday feeling shell-shocked. (Various)

Don't know if anyones mentioned this but he hasn't left.
And I'd have Petrov, Johnson, Dunne and Richards before the 15 mins of fame Elano.

Re: How about Elano?

Swedish media has been reporting this rumor for about three months now. It derives from a interview that Sven made in October were he said that he and Thaksin shared very different views on football and that if he failed to qualify for Europe his job would probably be in danger - then again, who would they replace him with, what are there expectations? I don't think they'll sack him.

My only worry about Petrov would be his lack of defensive capabilities, but going
