Gerrard v Rooney bet ??
This season I had a bet with a Manc at work that Torres would outscore Tevez.He has agreed to pay me my £20 now as its all over bar the shouting

He asked me if I wanted a different one for next season.Im not gonna bet against Ronaldo,so I suggested Gerrard v rooney

£20 has now gone on that for next season.I reckon I will win even tho Gerrards a midfielder

Rooney is bound to break his foot at some point and I have penalties

It will be closer than Torres v Tevez. It all depends. Rooney has it well within him to score 20 goals. He has been a bit below par in goalscoring this season, but he will probably get more next time. It remains to be seen whether Ronaldo will carry on scoring like this (I doubt it very much).

If it is all comps, Stevie should be nailed on for 20 odd. But then, that's what I'd think Rooney would do.

The only way I can see you clearly losing is if Rafa buys a different partner for Torres and decides to shuffle Stevie back alongside Mascherano. I don't think that will happen though, and even if Rafa does get a Deco/Aimar type in, Stevie will probably shift to the right of the three and get 20-odd from there.

Good bet. It will be close.

I said to him Ill see if Rafa buys a partner for Torres first.I then agreed to take thye bet anyway
