Re: This Magical Wide Player
After watching us for the last few weeks, and also some of the recent performances by Chelsea, Man U and the Arse, I've decided that:
If Kuyt can translate some of his Champions League record into the Prem, and Babel takes the next step forward and starts beating people on a regular basis, we don't really need any more wide players.
Crouch is good enough as back up to Torres and for mixing it up in a 4-4-2.
If Finnan can stay injury free, and Insua comes in and does well then we're pretty much sorted. Lucky for Rafa really as he's not going to have much cash to spend.

Yeah I know.
Which is why we probably need at least one good wide attacker and a new left back.

Re: This Magical Wide Player
Is this him?
Prem Ligue 1: Diouf on Gomis - Setanta Sports
amir Nasri is linked to a host of clubs and has revealed he would like to play abroad, manager Eric Gerets is linked to Bundesliga clubs, Karim Ziani is rumoured to have been approached by Bordeaux and Boudewijn Zenden has not imposed himself this season.
“(Gerets) knows what engagement means. He still has one year of contract and for me for sure he will stay," Diouf commented.
“Ziani can have a second chance [to prove himself] or leave, we will see the offers and his intention.
“As far as Zenden is concerned, we are disappointed but his exemplary state of mind is compensating.
“The question is open for Samir [Nasri] because he expressed his desire to see something else.
“His buy-out clause will surely be €20 million (£15 million).”

With what man, magic fucking beans?
I think I'm the only poster on here that doesn't want to teabag Ribery as well. I've seen him play well, I've seen him play gash.

Pandev is one we have been linked with a few times over the last 3 years. I cant say I've seen him play but I thought he was a striker?

He is, but he's been doing a Kuyt lately.

Re: This Magical Wide Player
I think Babel will be one of the wide players next season and I hope it's on the right, as he looks predictable on the left... constantly cutting inside and looking to shoot. Putting him on the right should make him harder to read as he can cut inside or go outside to get a cross in.
Therefore I hope we get a left wide player. Not necessarily a winger, but a goalscoring wide player, which Berger used to offer for us. Arsenal won the league with Pires and Ljundberg, hardly out and out wingers. Both looking to cut inside and got tons of goals.
Many people want a right back, but I'm happy with Arbeloa and Finnan. I would like to see a left back come though, not sure who, but the obvious target would be Lahm.
So a left wing / mid, a left back and I'm happy. Should we get a bigger budget then back up for Torres. Should Alonso leave, then get Barry.

You can edit it to add the M, if you want.

Nah, he'll want 835,000 squad players at £1.35 each.

I'm trying to hold back on my own sarcasm as it must be getting pretty tedious by now, but yeah, that's not far off how some view the situation.
