Re: Birmingham - Liverpool

You would hope the second string would be up for it like last week against Fulham, but apparently not. Hopefully Rafa gives them a right rollicking at half time, telling many of them their future at the club is on the line.

On the other hand, I somehow knew we'd get something like this today. Fourth is safe and mentally the Chelsea game is the be all and end all for the rest of the season.

Also i get really frustrated as Lucas' efforts, proper does my head in when he hits the corner flag or hits it out the stadium.

Voronin does move a bit, put his touch has been poor. Crouch plays like a player knowing he is off in the summer, he has been woeful. That goes for Finnan as well. The last two matches ( well, one and a half ) has been his worst in a Liverpool jersey in my opinion. He just looks like he doesnt want to be out there. Pennant as well has been really poor, mostly mishitting passes and/or running into trouble.

Plessis was brilliant against Arsenal, but today has proved he is still some way from beeing ready. Looks very nervous and he is hiding too much, meaning Lucas has got to come deep to collect the ball, as well as trying to make those attacking runs.

The most dissapointing thing is the lack of passion. Apart from Riise, Skrtl and Reina, none of these will probably start against Chelsea, so no need to saving themselves, and Rafa must be furious with them for their lack of interest and workrate.
I thought pennant has done alright, He's had a few good runs. Yossi has been ok as well. Apart from them two though we have been poor as an attacking force.

Re: Birmingham - Liverpool

Nothing personal, but I wish people would stop saying fourth is safe; we still need at least a point.

Re: Birmingham - Liverpool

This is the reason why we need better squad players in the Summer the first 11 can hold there own with anyone but they can't play every match and when we try to use the squad we drop points that cost us dear but its half time a little bit of pace up front and drive in midfield and we win this game
