He's not as poor as many seem to think, but the lack of playing time is bound to affect him, and I think his attitude is quite poor at times.

Re: Birmingham - Liverpool

Finnan showing once again why Rafa feels we need another RB. He has been superb for us in previous seasons but this campaign he has when fit been largely poor.

Terrible attitude by the lads today. We looked comfortable for the first 20 minutes but its now a walk in the park for them as they are showing no desire to get back into the game or even win it.

Complete no show by too many players are challenging for a first team place.

Re: Birmingham - Liverpool

Plessis is looking very uncomfortable out there so far today. He is struggling with his passing and his control although its not helped when his team mates are playing as poorly as this.

Re: Birmingham - Liverpool

I'm gonna have to think long and hard as to whether I watch the second half, because that was shocking. The attitude was so, so poor from pretty much all of the players, bar probably Pennant and Benayoun who have at least had a go.

We may as well have Lampard's mum up front, the contribution has been that bad from the front pairing, bar a good shot from Crouch.

Nice shooting by Lucas as well by the way

Re: Birmingham - Liverpool

I dont really blame the defence but in midfield and upfront we have been shocking.

I know what attributes Crouch brings to the team but he has one good game in five for me and unfortunatly today is one of the other four.

Voronin has been Voronin which is pretty much fuck all.

Pennant has probably been the only player who when he has recieved the ball has at least attacked Birmingham.

We need to control the midfield but that would probably mean bringing on Gerrard which is something i do not want to have to do as the pitch looks a bit dodgy.

Personally i would take off Voronin and put Benayoun behind Crouch. Push Riise onto the left wing and bring on Insua who at least would offer us pace down the left.

Neither did I really, but Crouch, Voronin and Benayoun (the usual suspects) are supposedly playing for their futures

Voronin does my head in. You'd think given that he's not very good he'd at least work hard, but if somebody plays a pass and it doesn't bang into his toes he just plants his legs apart and watches it drift by him.

Re: Birmingham - Liverpool

That has to be one of the worst halfs of the season?. Not one player has played well. I`ll give Lucas credit for his workrate and movement, and he seems like the only player that looks arsed. Voronin does move a bit, put his touch has been poor. Crouch plays like a player knowing he is off in the summer, he has been woeful. That goes for Finnan as well. The last two matches ( well, one and a half ) has been his worst in a Liverpool jersey in my opinion. He just looks like he doesnt want to be out there. Pennant as well has been really poor, mostly mishitting passes and/or running into trouble.

Plessis was brilliant against Arsenal, but today has proved he is still some way from beeing ready. Looks very nervous and he is hiding too much, meaning Lucas has got to come deep to collect the ball, as well as trying to make those attacking runs.

The most dissapointing thing is the lack of passion. Apart from Riise, Skrtl and Reina, none of these will probably start against Chelsea, so no need to saving themselves, and Rafa must be furious with them for their lack of interest and workrate.
