I'd dearly love to smash Birmingham and help send them down. I know we have to protect players for Wednesday, but I hope we still get the victory, and not just because I always do, but also because Birmingham piss me off. The only redeeming thing about them is that fathead has now left.

yeah id love to see insua,plessis and nemeth start. Knowing Rafa not a hope of all 3 playin but it would be nice to see our potential future starts starting to show what they can do.

Some tossers on telly this morning were trying to start some blah blah Rafa blah weakened team blah relegation rivals blah fucking blah.

This season's "weakened team" will mean a start for Hyypia, Lucas, Pennant, Benayoun, Voronin and Crouch (with Carra, Masch, Gerrard and Torres on the bench). I'm guessing most of the "Greatest League in the World" would love to have a team that weak. It'd be good to see Insua and Plessis again. (Maybe even Nemeth?)

The days of Paletta and El Zahr seem very, very long ago!








(OK - I've seen a debut goal by one and a screamer by the other, but you know what I mean.)
