Re: Euro 2008

I'm looking forward to it. I always watch most of the games during these tournaments and this will be no different!

It's class when you get in from work and you've got a couple of class games of football to watch.

Re: Euro 2008

It will be fucking ace. I'm going to Greece for two weeks in june, and I reckon there will be some great nights out when Hellas play. There's just nothing that beats watching those tournaments in the summertime, out on the balcony with a beer fresh out of the fridge. Oh man...

The 6th or 7th of June I think. I go away that weekend for 2 weeks so when I get back it will be time for the semis.

Re: Euro 2008

There are some good teams in the tournament, and I think it will be really, really good. I'll be supporting Croatia as always, I don't think they'll win it, but should get through to the semi-finals.

Re: Euro 2008

Will this be the first major international tournament in which no host team has made it past the first round if, as is very likely, Austria and Switzerland don't make it?

I know Belgium fell at the first hurdle in 2000 but Holland made it through.

Re: Euro 2008

i was looking forward to it until i discovered that the bbc have hired steve fucking mclaren as one of their pundits for the tournament. i mean talk about rubbibng our noses in it. you couldn't make it up.

i look forward to his "expert opinion" on how holland can turn around a deficit to beat croatia. how the fuck would he know?

and to make it worse, us license payers are paying for him, if he had anything about him he'd donate his fee to charity or put it back into grass roots football.

Re: Euro 2008

I've already got my Czech shirt, and I always want them to do well. But then I've got Polish connections, and there's a certain pressure there. And I want the Spanish to do well too.

Problems, problems...
