forwards for tonight

kuyt - i would love him to get a game, he's proved on several occasions he's a man for the big game. also he put them out last time so give hime a chance to do it again?

torres - one word, torres.

crouch - played well against arsenal and is also always good for a goal / creating a major chance.

who do you go with?

Rafa won't drop Kuyt even if broke a leg in the warm up.

Torres with Gerrard behind him (no pun intended) and Babel and Kuyt on the wings.

Re: forwards for tonight

The only question is will Carra play at RB and Sami and Skrtelmania in the middle, or Carra in the middle and Finnan at RB. There is no question that Dirk will play, and rightly so, he has been excellent recently.

Re: forwards for tonight

I was glad to see Crouch play the last game against Arsenal, but that was because their CB's don't know what to do with him. I can't see him caursing as much trouble against Chelsea so we should play one up front, with Kuyt on the right.

For sure fuck him right in at the deep end let's see what the lad is made of.

Kuyt will play on the right I have doubt about that. Torres up front and Gerrard behind, probably Babel on the left although we could get a surprise there. He may be better coming of the bench late in the game, a la Arsenal, if he had the same impact I would be a little more than happy.

Nerves are well jangling now, nearly time to go on the beer. One more meeting at four and then I am on it.

I'd agree with that
The team picks itself apart for the back 4.

Yes, but I think Sami may be on the bench with Turtle Power starting. I also think that with a cup final so close, we may see Harry Kewell instead of Babel.

Re: forwards for tonight

back 4 will either be

Carra Hyppia Skrtel Aurelio

or

Finnan Hyppia Carra Aurellio

I think Sami, Carra and Aurelio are all deffo starters so its weather or not we go with Skrtel and shift carra right or just go with Finnan right.

I wouldn't play Finnan on current form, Carra at right back for me.
