Sebastián Eguren will be joining us in the summer

I've heard this from various sources. Most of my sources are VERY reliable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The 27 years old Uruguayan midfielder currently on loan at Villarreal CF will be joing us this summer for ca £2m.

Sebastián Eguren Ledesma plays on central midfield, is a good passer, got a eye for the goal and has lots of fighting spirit. He'd fit perfectly in to our team.

I'M THRILLED!

He looked a bit slow playing for Rosenborg in 2005. The pace of the Norwegian league is about 14,5% of the EPL, on average.

Fuck, if he's the missing piece it's going to be a shit jigsaw.

And I say this with some confidence, despite (obviously) never having seen him play.

He can also play on the right and in the attack, he's a natural link man aswell as a excellent defensive midfielder.

Re: Sebastián Eguren will be joining us in the summer

If true, it might be the confirmation that Xabi is leaving. Rafa might be looking to cash in on him. However, I don't think that we are overly stocked on central midfielders to be honest, we use three of them so we have greater need for cover.

With all due respect, Remington, I REALLY hope your sources are wrong this time. This guy is nowhere near good enough.

Just what we need.... maybe soon we can play a 3-6-1 formation to accomodate them all.

Eguren tested positive for cocaine after a match in the Copa Libertadores, on February 12, 2004, being suspended from football for six months. He blamed the coca tea which is widely drunk in the Andean countries (as a medicine which alleviates the effects of altitude), and he got the shortest suspension for this kind of cases (this specific match was played at 2,800 meters above sea level, in Quito).

Oh man... Watched him several times when he played for Rosenborg BK. Honestly, this player is just crap. How can a player, who didn't do it well in Norway, be good enough for us?

Hope your source is wrong here, Remington!
